So last night I drove down to meet up with Lisa, Cara, Emily, Hillary, Shauna and Cheryl to go to TWILIGHT!!!! I have been so excited to see this movie because I loved the books. I wasn't expecting the movie to be that great because the previews didn't look that good. BUT, I was surprised. It was better than I had expected. Now if you were to go to this movie without reading the books first I don't think you would like it. It is cheesy in parts, and the SPECIAL EFFECTS are not all that great. But if you are an Edward FAN (which is everyone who has read the books) you will like the movie. The best part was that EVERY TIME Edward came on the screen the whole theater would start freaking out. It was sooooo funny to watch some of these girls. They could barely breathe half the time because EDWARD was on screen. Now I have to say that before I saw the movie I was NOT a fan of who they picked to play Edward. And even the first part of the movie I was still not convinced. About half way through I realized that the Edward they picked was PERFECT. He did a great job!!!

Thanks so much for driving down! I have to say that half the fun was watching the audience reaction! I was the same page as you in the casting choices before I saw the movie but after seeing it agree that they were right on with their picks. I think I started to really like Edward when he pulled up in his car and told Bella to get in! I think the 3 girls in front of us stopped breathing a few times in anticipation of "the kiss". It was a fun night and I think for #2 we may even have to go to the midnight showing just to see all the die hard fan reactions!

I'm sorry, I have to beg to differ. I LOVED the books and went and saw the movie on opening night but I really didn't think it was that good. I thought Edward did a pretty bad acting job. :(
I'm a straight dude....so obviously never read the books or saw the movie and I will openly mock any guy who did. But from what I've heard, it was the 'worst movie of all time'. Sandra saw it and couldn't believe how bad it was, she said the entire theater was laughing the entire time because the acting and special effects were so bad.

It was not the best movie I've ever seen, and I wasn't expecting it to be...but Edward was HOT!! I wasn't a fan of the choice at first either...but I'm definitely a believer now! mmmmm.
how fun! i'm dying to see it! it would be so fun to go opening night.
