The Gift of Music

Last night all the primary kids in our ward were invited to sing at the Arcadia Community Interfaith Thanksgiving Service, at the Holy Angels Catholic Church. It was actually really neat to go to because all it was was an hour long musical presentation by all the different religious groups in Arcadia. It was fun to be in an OLD Catholic church full of Catholic, Jewish, Christian, Baha'i, Muslim, Buddhist and Mormon groups. Each group did a little musical number, and our little primary did a great job. We were the ONLY group there that had ANY kids, so our side of the church was a little noisy as you could imagine. There was a Muslim boy about 12 years old who sang a solo number and it was really interesting to hear him sing in his language. Then there was a group of monks that did a long chant with chimes and it was beautiful to listen to. When it was over 4 of our primary girls were standing at the front door looking at the Holy Water and this little old lady came up to one of the girls (about 6 years old) and dipped her fingers in the Holy Water then blessed the little girl. It was SO funny because all of the girls were just staring at this old lady wondering what in the world she is doing. The little girl quickly walked away while wiping the Holy Water off her forehead. Aaron and I were the only ones who saw and we were laughing our heads off. It was too cute. It was nice to be invited into the community to participate in the program.

This is what Dahl said on the way there.

Dahl: "Do you know what's better then going to church?"

Aaron: "No, what?"

Dahl: "Killin bad guys."

Dahl is so funny, he says the most RANDOM things sometimes. The other day he said this to Aaron.

Dahl: "Dad, I sure love ya."

Aaron: "Thanks Dahl, I love you too."

Dahl: "Do you know what surprise you're gettin for your Birthday?"

Aaron: "No, what?"

Dahl: "NOODLES!!!" (Saying this with the most excited happy face and arms way up in the air.)

HAHAHAAAAA where did that come from. Aaron's birthday isn't until February.

On a different note...all the guys, and mom, are coming down on Thursday for the weekend!!!!!! I am so excited to see everyone! On Saturday all the guys are going to the USC vs Dotre Dame football game. GO TROJANS!! I'm just excited to hang out with my mom for a few days!!!! SEE YOU SOON!!!!!!!
