Birthdays: Reid 2, Ty 5

Reid and Ty's birthdays are only 2 days apart, so the beginning of June is kind of busy around here.  Luckily we don't really do big parties.  Mostly just fun activities with family.  {One day I will throw my kids a real birthday, I swear.}  I promised Dahl he could have a real party with friends this year since he is turning 8.  We will see if I get around to doing it.  That's the downfall of having your birthday on Christmas.  

June 7th 

Reid turned 2.  Holy Smokes.  He is getting big.  He is totally one of the boys now.  He follows them everywhere and copies everything they say and do.  He was pretty excited about the presents, but had no idea what to do with them.  He just liked banging them like drums.  Once he realized there were toys inside he got the idea.  I love this little man, and all the energy he brings into our home.  He is funny, and so stinkin cute I can barely stand it.  LOVE you like crazy Reid.

 I made a bunch of round chocolate cakes, and Aaron worked his magic and made the cutest Mickey cake for Reid.  I loved it, and so did Reid.

Make a wish

The happy Birthday boy.  He had to put his Toy Story PJ's on the minute he opened them.

 We didn't do much the rest of the day.  Just hung out and played with new toys.  Now that he is 2, and the fact that he can climb out of his crib way too easily, we decided to take the side of his crib off.  Yep, he is officially a toddler.  Makes me kind of sad.

The bed thing is a bit of a learning curve.  He will get it.  At least it isn't a far fall.

June 9th

Ty turned 5.  I have never seen him so excited in my life.  He had this smile on all day long.

For Ty's birthday we had a lot of fun.  Woke up and opened presents.  All he wanted was that green rubber lizard.  Easy to please.  We through in a few Skylanders as well.  He was happy.  After presents we ate Dots Cupcakes, yes in the morning.  They were delicious.  Then we went to Dave and Busters for the afternoon.  So fun.  

I love Ty.  He is so kind and fun.  He always makes me smile.  Especially when he is talking, I love his cute raspy voice.  He is getting so old, I can't believe it.

 After partying hard, we had some dinner at CPK then went to Madagascar 3 with Dave, Carter and Brady.  So glad they could come up for the movie.
