yesterday & today

Yesterday Dahl didn't have school.  We decided to take advantage of a free day and do something fun, so we took the boys to to LA Zoo with a friend of mine, and her cutie pie little girl Lola.  We have been living here almost three years and haven't been yet.   We had a great time, and the LA Zoo is a pretty good one.  But I must say the Calgary Zoo {maybe I'm bias} is much better.  I have never been to a Zoo that has topped Calgary yet.
Love the entrance
Flamingos are so interesting to me.  They are so bazaar
Gorillas.  They were pretty awesome
Giraffes, again SO interesting and pretty
This Elephant was cute playing in the water
We had a fun day at the Zoo.  Thanks for coming with us Tara!

We got home around 4:30 then left for swimming lessons 10 minutes later.  Dahl is in a class with three other boys who are all about 10 years old.  When he first started I though maybe we should put him in a lower level with kids more his age, but there is no need for that.  He is often beating them in races and has much better technique than all of them.  His teacher is surprised he is only 6 years old.  Now Ty on the other hand is just learning how to swim.  He is in a class all by himself {so nice, it is like private lessons} .  I can proudly say that Ty can officially swim all by himself for at least  8-10 feet.  Then he needs some help coming up for air.  I am so proud of him.  He is doing great and improving so fast.
Ty doing his superman swim.  Way to go TY!!!
So that was yesterday.  Lets move on to today.
Poor little Reid bonked his eyebrow on the windowsill today.  I change his diaper on Ty's bed, and there is a window right next to it.  Whenever he gets a chance, he flips over and heads for the window to try and play with the blinds {remember, he is a very difficult baby to change}.  Today he did exactly that, but when he reached the window he fell over and bonked his eyebrow right on the edge.  It wasn't all that hard, but man do eyebrows swell up fast.
This was a few minutes afterwards.
He cried pretty hard for a couple minutes, then turned into his goofy self.  He has this new "smile" he does whenever I get the camera out.  He scrunches up his face.  It is so silly and cute.  Let's hope it is just a phase though.
SMILE REID
hahaha...love it.  He looks kind of evil here.
