Track

Yesterday Dahl had a Track and Field day.  It was for all the Elementary schools in Arcadia, and it was optional to sign up.  Why not sign up??  It should be fun!  Dahl participated in the 50 meter dash, and the softball throw {their version of shot put}.  They compete in their year of birth, so Dahl kind of had a disadvantage since his birthday is at the very end of the year.  He might have been one of the youngest kids there.  That's OK, he had lots of fun.  He ran the 50 meter and came in 4th, so he didn't move on to the the finals. We were totally fine with that since it was so stinkin hot out yesterday.  I think it was in the mid 90's.
50 meter dash.  GO DAHL GO
I loved the kid in jeans
Softball Throw
Can you see
Dahl about to launch it??  He did really well.
He didn't get any medals, but believe me, he was more than pleased just to get the Participant ribbon.  I was so proud of him.  He had lots of fun, and he is growing up so fast.

On another note, my little niece Ivy is having eye surgery tomorrow.  I have never met Ivy, and I am DYING.  Nena sends me pictures of her all the time, and I just what to hold her and kiss her.  She is the cutest and sweetest little thing ever.  She melts my heart.
Good luck tomorrow Ivy.  You are in our prayers.
So precious

Dahl is so old! Awesome on the ribbon! I hope my kids will learn they don't always have to win. They throw a fit now when the other one finishes food first or gets out of the tub first! So annoying.
Ivy is sooo sweet! Good luck to that sweet baby girl!
