NY Mets

Today was Opening Day for baseball (it was going to be last weekend, but it was pouring rain).  I love this time of year.  The weather is perfect, and Dahl couldn't be more excited to get out and play baseball with his team...this year they are the NY METS.
We started off the day with a pancake breakfast and team pictures.  Then all the teams got to introduce themselves and run the bases.  Then a bunch of lucky kids won some raffle ticket prizes.
Dahl has two friends from his Kindergarten class on his team this year.  He was pretty stoked when he discovered that!

Dahl and a few of his teammates
Salmon #3, just like Babe Ruth
(he picked this number last year because he wanted to be the same number as Babe Ruth)
I love this kid.  He is growing up WAY to fast.  What a little stud!!
Dahl and his good buddy Rowen from school
Running the bases at the Opening Ceremonies
After the Opening Ceremonies we sang the National Anthem.  Right as it was ending 4 planes flew overhead trailing blue smoke.  It was pretty awesome.  This is them coming back around.  I wish I got a picture with the smoke.
Uncle Mike came to cheer Dahl on.
First game of the season.  Mets vs Pirates.
We don't keep score, there are NO outs, and everybody gets to bat.  Everybody wins!!!
Dahl in ready position.  Way to pay attention!
This little dude, slept through most of everything and enjoyed chewing on his shoes
 Team huddle with couch Frank
It was a fun, hot day.  I think it got almost up to 85 degrees.  It felt MUCH hotter since we haven't had that hot of weather for the past couple months.  The boys and I got a little sunburned.  Time to pull out the sunscreen.
It was perfect!  Here is to a great season of Baseball.
GO METS GO

It is like SUPER official, which is why I was surprise they don't keep score hahaha. Lots of little Asians on his team, I would have though he was playing for Edgemont or something :) hehehehe. Looks like so much fun! Love you guys. See you soon.
