2011 catch up

I will start by finishing off 2010. 

 My mom and dad came into town for a week to celebrate New Years with us.  New Years Eve morning we went over to the Santa Anita Racetrack (1 mile from our house) and had breakfast at Clockers Corner.  Clockers Corner is a breakfast place inside the racetrack where you can go and watch the houses being exercised for the day.  It was awesome.  There are a TON of horses, and they are all so beautiful.  It was really cool. Totally something we will do again.  It was funny because I kept saying to my mom "oh, look at that horse it's so pretty, oh and that one too."  We started laughing after a while because we were saying it about EVERY horse.  They have a tour that you can take, but it is on Saturdays and Sundays, we will have to go back one of these Saturdays.

The next fun event was the Rose Parade.  Dave Aaron and Dad where some of the "lucky" ones that got to camp out from 2am-8am.  They were tired the next day.  But well worth it!

Then we took mom to Disneyland for the day.  Ty was finally tall enough to go on all of the big adult rides.  So we took him on Tower of Terror.  I thought he would get freaked out.  He was just really quite and didn't have much of a reaction.  I asked him if he liked it, he said "yes, I want to do it again with dad."  So Aaron took him on again.  Crazy kid.  That is a pretty scary ride.  Dahl on the other hand didn't like it so much.  He won't be doing it again in the near future.

It was awesome having Grandma and Grandpa here for a week.  See you really soon again.  Love you guys.  2011 is off to a great start.
