Good Bye

Today is a sad day for Ty. It is the day I took all of his soothers (pacifiers) away. He is 19 months old, so it is about time they go in the trash. Dahl was off his soother at about 15 months, but I have been putting it off for Ty because I don't want to deal with the AFTER MATH. He is a more difficult child than Dahl was, and I know it wouldn't go over as well as it did with Dahl. So this morning I cut the ends off all of his soother except for 1 (I figure he can still have one at night for a little while longer.) I gave him all of his broken soothers to put in the garbage. It was the saddest thing to watch. I have never seen him so sad without crying before. He looked so devastated. Surprisingly though he has been doing just fine for the past 5 hours with out it!!! Hopefully I don't regret this decision in the middle of church on Sunday. Since our camera is broken I couldn't take a picture of Ty with his broken soothers and his SAD SAD face, so I found this old one from when he was about 9 months old. Sorry Ty Ty. Don't worry you won't remember them in a couple of months!!!
