She had toes for thumbs

Most of my classes have already been held 2 or more times since starting the new semester but I had a religion night class, which only runs once a week, that I attended for the first time tonight. The class was genealogy and the experience prompted me to write another little note. There was a lot of confusion even in finding the room, since that was changed multiple times as recently as 2 hours before class. My teacher is an old guy named “Flick” …no that’s not the funny part …just strange. Old Flick (he must be close to a million years old) decided that a good way to start class would be to write down our names and couple things about ourselves and then share them with the person next to us. Not a bad way to start. After 10 or so minutes of chatter Flick told us that we would be introducing our neighbor to the rest of the class. As I sat and listened to everyones name, major, birthplace, languages spoken, special talents and favorite colors, as described by their newest best buddy, I realized that Flick might not have taught a class this big before and that this kind of thing might have worked better with 15 people instead of 50. It wasn’t a total loss the girl I introduced had what she called “toe thumbs” it was crazy cause I had to explain to the class what they were. I know we have all known someone with toe thumbs but I’ve never known someone so proud of freakishly short, fat and toe-like thumbs…whatever. I could go on and on about the class even though it took an hour to do introductions, it was a 2 hour class and the second hour involved Flick introducing the importance of computers in genealogical research, and then proceeding to a web site that explained what a window was and what an address bar and tools bar were…I AM SERIOUS! He spent the next hour teaching us how to use the internet. His best line was...” I know that this particular web site says BYU.EDU but it can be accessed from anywhere in the world not just here on campus.” Great I’m talking a genealogy class from father time.

If this girl is sharing with 50 people that she has "toe thumbs" what is she keeping a secret? You should ask your teacher if he remembers helping Noah build the Arc.....he might have some awesome stories to share.
