WHAT HAPPENED??

I haven't blogged much recently because we have been having too much fun with Grandma and Grandpa.  They left yesterday to Dave's house, so I now have some free time.  I will get to all of the fun stuff later.  Todays blog is all about what happen last night to our city.

Last night we had the strangest night ever.  We had a major wind storm pass through.  All night it felt like out house was going to blow apart.  It was really creepy.  Dahl and Ty were both up at some point bawling about nightmares, and Reid just bawled for hours.  I don't think I fell asleep until about 4:00am.  We lost power at some point in the night and finally got it back about 15 minutes ago.  Thank goodness.  Arcadia has been powerless all day {including street lights, it was slow moving} nothing was open, and tons of stores had their windows blown out.  I went to the grocery store to get some food and water {I wasn't the only one} and they were throwing away everything that was in the refrigerated section. The kids schools were cancelled do to all the damage.  Aaron called on his way to school and suggested I take a drive to see the damage.  So I did.  It looks like a tornado hit us.  Countless huge, beautiful trees have been ripped from the ground, roots and all, leaving major damage. Pretty much every street in Arcadia looks like this for miles around.  So sad.
Many , many cars were crushed.

I have no idea how they are going to clear all of these trees away.  They are enormous.

This makes me sad.  It is a picture of one of the trees in the Park near our house.  The whole park looks like this.  I took some video, but I can't seem to get it on to blogger.

A house that got crushed.  A least that basketball hoop stayed in place!
Another house.  Look at the sidewalk
