park day

So far this summer we haven't done too much.  We have spent a lot of days just sitting around chillin.  It's nice not have to be anywhere all day long, but on the other hand, I think my kids are getting a little bored {me too}.  I blame it on the fact that Reid still naps a good chunk of the day away, so we are forced to sit around. {I know, lame excuse}  If only we had a yard....  So today we ventured over to the park... CRAZY huh??   It was hot...around 90 degrees, but it felt much hotter.  The boys could barely touch anything without getting burned.  So they ended up playing underneath the playground  in the sand, instead of on the playground.  

 Reid loved the swing until it too started feeling really hot on his little hands.

I felt like we were there for about 10 minutes, but it turned out to be almost an hour.  They had fun

I need to be more proactive and go do fun things in the day with the boys.  At least we are going to have a FUN weekend in Arizona for Chuck's graduation.  Can't wait.  All though it will be even hotter there, but at least we will have a pool to play in all day long ;)
