To kick off the July 4th weekend we had a parade right out side out condo on Saturday morning. We had no idea it was going on until late the night before. Nice surprise. After the parade there were a whole bunch of Food Trucks down the street, and we got stuffed.

On July 4th we had a wonderful breakfast in the park with our ward, then we headed down to the beach for the day. This was Reid's first time playing in the sand, and he loved it.
I love his chubby little belly!
All the kids enjoyed digging holes, playing in the waves
and playing beach soccer with the dads
After the beach, we got some In n Out, then went to watch the Ladera Ranch fireworks.
Happy 4th
For the next few days my mom was staying with us. So on Tuesday we headed over the the La Brea Tar Pits. Very cool.
This Mammoth was huge. I couldn't believe the tusks on this thing.

There are actual tar pits all over the property. It smelt strongly of tar.

We found a spot on the grass that had tar seeping up from the ground. The kids had fun poking sticks in it.
| Mom and the boys with a giant sloth. After the Tar Pits, we headed over to The Grove {fancy outdoor shopping}, ate some lunch at the Farmer's Market, and took the kids to Cars 2. |
Mom is gone, the fun week is over, I wish it lasted longer. Miss you already mom.
