one & four

This last week we had most of Aaron's family in town {everyone minus Nathan actually}.  We had a jammed packed week full of lots of fun.  To top it off, Reid and Ty celebrated birthdays while they were here.  Today's post will be about the birthday boys, and I will get to the rest of the fun another day.

 On June 7th, we woke up to a happy 1 year old.  Reid has been the happiest, cutest baby ever.  I am so in love with him.  He had his 1 year check up today and he is a healthy happy baby.  

I'm 1

He weighed in today at 21 and 1/2 pounds.  Just under %50......still weird to me, he is chubby.  He has 8 teeth, and I am hoping he starts walking soon.  He will stand there forever playing with a toy, not holding on to anything, but he wont take a step.  

 He opened a few presents, and he had this cute surprised face the whole time.

 Two days later on June 9th, Ty turned 4 years old.  He had been talking about his birthday for months.  I think he is mostly excited that he can finally tell people he is 4!!

 All he wanted was a bow and arrow, and Captain America stuff.

I kind of feel awful because I have never made a cake, or really thrown a REAL birthday party for any of my kids.  It is always just with family{which is awesome}, but I think next year I might attempt a cake and let them have a real "birthday party" with family, plus school and church friends, and actual activities.  We will see, they don't really know the difference at this age.  Do they?
