Today we headed over to the Race Track for breakfast with our friends the Duckworths, and then spent the afternoon watching the races. I have never been to an actual horse race before, it was pretty awesome and exciting. It is funny to watch all the people around you going crazy for the horses they just bet on.
After breakfast, before the races started, we went into the infield (middle of the track) where they have a huge park and green space. They also have the horse that played Seabiscuit there. Didn't get a picture of him though.
This picture of Aaron cracks me up, because if you know Aaron he is germaphobic. He has not lied down on public grass in YEARS, especially here in LA. He finally found a clean patch of grass that met his cleanliness standards, and it happened to be at the racetrack...kind of funny.
Relaxing on the nice, clean, soft grass
Part of the park in the infield.
Finnley, Dahl and Ty
Our Fam minus Reid, he was asleep in the stroller.
Before the race they walk the horses around a small ring so you can get a good look at them. Dahl is waiting for them to come out.
I wanted to reach out and pet them so bad. They are all so beautiful
And they're off
Right before the finish line. I think number 6 ended up winning this race.
Cute Dieter enjoying his Doritos. He had enough down his shirt for a snack later on!
Thanks Duckworths for the fun day at the Races. Lets do it again sometime.

We had a blast! I think we'll definitely have to do it again, but this time we'll do some more research on the horses! ;) Thanks for the fun day!

i think we got you started on a fun thing - what a great time.
Love it!! My dream was always to be a jockey. Yup....right up until grade 9 when I grew. I was the perfect shrimp for it until then. Sigh. And thank goodness Aaron found some grass to lay on....looks DIVINE!!
