We have been on the hunt for Halloween costumes for the past couple weeks. We usually do this the week of Halloween. We end up having the hardest time finding good costumes because they are all picked over. So I decided to be proactive and get them earlier this year. Well, we are still having a hard time finding good costumes, and the problem with doing it early is that 5 year olds and 3 year olds change their minds daily on what they want to be. Ghosts, Skeletons, Batman, Ninjas, Jedi, Pirates....etc, etc. Actually Dahl really, really wanted to be a Ninja, but he couldn't wear the mask or bring the swords to school and our ward Trunk-or-Treat, so he was kind of disappointed. He would have ended up looking just like some kid in all black.
The Hunt is still on...
OK, I thought this costume was hilarious, but I couldn't convince Ty to be a hamburger for Halloween. Dang it.
-p.s. I love that Dahl is trying to eat Ty-
We ended up getting a Batman and a Skeleton costume, but both have since been returned. Today they both want to be what they were last year. Dahl a Jedi, and Ty a Pirate. If they decide to stick with this idea it will be nice because I won't have to try and find more costumes. So for now I am not shopping for costumes, unless they change their minds AGAIN. I loved Halloween as a kid!!
This little guy was originally a Skeleton, but then I found this adorable lion hat. So he is now officially the only one with a costume (I'm pretty sure this one will stick, but now I have to return the skeleton one)
My boys
If you are wondering why Dahl is in his baseball uniform, it is because his coach from last season is doing a free practice once a week for any kids that want to brush up on their skills for next season. So there about 10 kids that meet every Monday to practice. He was the best coach, and you can tell he really cares for the kids. Dahl might be moving up to Prep Level baseball next year where they have tryouts, so let the practicing begin!!!

Cute. cute. I'm forcing Finnley to be a waitress because I got a hand-me-down costume. Am I a bad mom?
That is the cutest hamburger I have ever seen! I love Halloween but I agree the costume situation gets hard with kids. You found a winner with the lion hat. Then again anything would look cute with that smile!

Ha. I love those halloween costumes. The eating of the hamburger is especially funny.
