Meet Reid
Well I am home from the hospital and I am feeling great, so here is Reid's story. On Sunday I was suppose to get a call from the hospital to come in and get induced. We were up nice and early waiting patiently for the CALL. It ended up being the longest day of my life, and I felt like it was never going to happen. Finally at 10:30 pm we got the call to come in!! I was so excited, relieved, nervous, scared and every other emotion you can think of. I have never been induced before, so I had no idea what to expect. At 12:15am (June 7) they broke my water, then at 1:00am they started me on Pitocin. Reid entered the world at 3:44am. So from start to finish it was 3 1/2 hours. It was by far the best delivery for me. My epidural worked like a dream, and I only pushed for about 2 minutes. I guess as far as deliveries go it was quick and easy. Reid weighed in at a HEALTHY 9 pounds 11 ounces. Right in the middle of Dahl and Ty. Dahl was 9"12 and Ty was 9"9. I don't know what I do but for some reason I have big chubby babies. I love it!
This picture is funny to me because it is Aaron listening to Reid breathing. With all the trouble Ty had breathing we have been wondering if it might be the same for Reid. Lets just say it is really weird to NOT be able to here him breathe. He is SILENT!!
Dahl and Ty admiring their new brother. They both LOVE him to death already. Dahl can't take his eyes off him and ALWAYS wants to hold him.
Me and Reid
Right before his first bath.
Freshly bathed, back in his bassinet. We asked Ty if Reid smelled good. He said "yep." Then we asked him what he smelled like. He said "ummm, he smells like Reid."
We are all home happy and healthy. Reid, so far, is a VERY good baby.
