We have had a very long a busy week. On July 1st we moved into our new condo. I was so excited about this move because movers were taking care of everything. Packing and moving. I thought it was going to be a stress free move. Boy was I wrong. They quoted me $995 for the whole thing. My landlord was paying for it and she was fine with the cost. After they packed up the truck they came to me and said it was going to be ANOTHER $2,300. WHATTTTT?? Are you kidding me? And they weren't going to unload the truck until my landlord payed first. I called my landlord and she freaked. She talked to the moving company for over an hour complaining about how wrong this is and that they can't hold our stuff, and that she was NOT going to pay. She was able to talk them down to $1,000 instead of $2,300 (Still WAY to much) But they would only except cashier's check. Well it was 5:30, banks are closed. So they held our stuff over night until she was able to pay in the morning. So the next day we were finally able to get our stuff into our new place. I made it VERY clear to the movers that they had to be SUPER careful on the walls and floor. Well, when they took the fridge up the stairs they DESTROYED the banister and wall the WHOLE way up. I was sooooooo mad. I got into a huge fight with the main guy. All in all the move was terrible and very stressful. I left out a lot of details about all the fight and conversations (too long) but you get the idea. I'm so glad Aaron was at school for all of it because he would have freaked out.
Anyways onto the FUN part of the week. Friday night we went down to Dave and Lisa' s to spend the night and go to the beach the next day for 4th of July. It was so fun. The guys went to the beach early (7:30am) to save spots. We showed up with the kids around 11:00. We spent the whole day playing at the beach. It was awesome. We were waiting until it got dark for the big firework show, but it got to cold and windy so we left around 8:00. It was an hour drive home for us and we pretty much had a firework show the whole way home, it was really cool. Happy 4th Everyone!! Enjoy the pictures.

Were your movers from Somalia? Cause it sounds like they just went pirate on your azz. Tell me if this is legal....#1. agree on a price to move your stuff. #2. they pack all your stuff into there truck. #3. They then increase the price 3 fold (after they have loaded your stuff into there secure truck) and tell you that you can't have your stuff back until you pay the higher price (they just held your stuff for ransom). #4. you have to engage in negotiates to free your stuff from there hostage takeover and they don't have to budge because they know they have you by the short and curlies. What Country do you live in again?
haaahaaa. Chuck we feel the same way. What a bunch of criminals. IT SUCKED.
