Sacramento Trip

On the weekend we headed up to Folsom (near Sacramento) to a wedding. It was a fun little get away for us. Especially Aaron since he has been so busy with school. We headed out Friday afternoon, and it is about a 6 hour drive. We got there and ate dinner at Ron & Leslie Astle's house. Ron makes the best steak in the world. It was delish!! Friday we had the day to ourselves to hang out because the Astle's were busy with wedding stuff. Aaron took us all around Folsom since this is were he served a big part of his mission. We ate lots of good food, swam at the hotel pool, went and saw the Sacramento temple, threw rocks in the Folsom lake, and we sweat to death in the 105 degree heat. SO HOT....Aaron loves the heat, but the boys and I don't do as well. It must be the fair skin. Sunday was the wedding. Leslie's daughter was the one who got married. It was a beautiful ceremony in the garden of an old mansion in the middle of orchards, next to an awesome river. Although it didn't start until 6:00pm, it was still 107 degrees outside. Luckily we were in the shade because I think I would have died. After the ceremony we went in to the mansion for dinner. There was dancing afterwards but we had to take off because we had to drive back to LA that night. Aaron had school today. It felt like the longest drive home because we were sooooo tired. We didn't get home until 3:00am.

This was after the ceremony so all the flowers and stuff where already taken down. For some reason I didn't get any picture of the bride and groom. Dang it.
