Latest Random Pet

For the past 3 weeks or so we haven't had the Internet. It has been driving me CRAZY. But we finally have it so I can get back to my blogging!!! I guess it hasn't been a bad thing that I haven't blogged in a while because nothing really that exciting has happened until just this past week. Last weekend My brother-in-law CJ came and stayed with us for a few days (he is here working). It was so good to see him. We ate good food and had a few good games of late night RISK. Jess and the kids were going to come but decided not to at the last minute, which sucked because we all want to meet baby Ida soooo bad!!! Then on Saturday we went down town LA with some friends to eat at Philippe. It is famous for their French Dip sandwiches. We have been hearing about this place ever since we moved here so it was fun to finally go. As you can tell by the picture it was PACKED full of people. I guess the line is like this ALL the time, any time of the day. It was GOOD too!!! When we finished we decided to walk around a bit. China Town was only 1 block away so that is were we headed. Now some of you may remember the random pet we bought a couple years ago...a baby chicken. It was so cute and fluffy, and then it grew up and we didn't know what to do with it. Well we bought yet another RANDOM PET. Walking around China Town we kept seeing all these kids with little pet turtles. We finally asked someone and they said they were selling them for $5. For $5 we thought this would be a fun pet for the boys. So we walked another block until we found were they were selling them. 2 baby turtles for 5 bucks!!! Awesome, one for Dahl and one for Ty. The boys love them and Dahl, of course, named them Michelangelo and Rafael. Aaron actually had these same kind of turtles when he was younger. BUT.....of course we are not going to keep them because after doing some research, we would need to spend a lot more money to keep them happy and healthy, and they aren't good for kids under 5 years old due to salmonella. Anyways they are so cute and cool, but we need to find a home for them ASAP.

Inside Philippe, SO crowed.

AHHHHHHHH they are so cute. I wish the heat lamps and all the water pumps weren't so expensive. They're really cute. I bet the boys will be sad to see them go. The names Dahl chose didn't surprise me. I want to come see you guys so bad. Is there a golden spoon by you? I LOVE THAT PLACE. Miss you so much Love you. You look great Stace.

P.S. I'm so glad you got your internet back!!

I am so glad you are back on the blog. I was really homesick for you all when there was no daily blog. Love MOM
I had a turtle just like that as a kid. It went missing for about a month and we finally found it under a carpet-- still alive. They are indestructible. Just get some alcohol spray for the kids hands and it should be OK to keep them.
