Galco's Soda Pop Stop

When Aaron was younger his family used to go to a place in Calgary called Mr.Pop in Brentwood Mall every Christmas. All the kids got to choose their favorites from all the different flavors of Glass Bottled Soda Pop. Then each kid would have their own special stash of Pop for the Holidays. So Aaron got on line to try and find a place here where we can go pick and choose from all different types of Glass Bottled Pop. Well he found the best place EVER. It is called Galco's Soda Pop Stop (http://www.sodapopstop.com/). It is only about 15 minutes from our house in LA. When we pulled up I was a little worried because it looked kind of ghetto, but when we went inside I was so surprised by all the different flavors of glass bottled Soda Pop from all around the world. We were talking to the owner and he said that they had over 500 different types of soda, so you could imagine how difficult it was to try and pick the best ones. We had so much fun picking out our own flavors. It was funny to see what we would all get. Dahl chose his by color and pictures. So he ended up with 2 blues, an orange, strawberry, a root beer that had a picture of a guy with a mustache and another root beer with a picture of bulldogs. Aaron's decided to go for all different types of Root Beers, or ones that had funny names. And I decided to try and find the most obscure random flavors I could find. Some of the crazy ones where Cucumber, Rose Petal and Mint. I also got a few that I new would be good just in case the weird ones were nasty. Anyways we can now say we have a crazy stash of soda in our fridge and we are having a lot of fun trying all the different flavors. So far there has only been one really nasty tasting Root Beer. I tried the Cucumber one first, and it was actually really good. It smelt and tasted exactly like a cucumber with sugar!! Weird, but good. It isn't something I could drink on a regular basis, but it was fun to try. So from now on our family Christmas tradition is going to be going to Galco's Soda Pop Stop to pick out our favorite flavors for the holiday season.
