So tonight we went out on the town and took the kids Trick-or-Treating!!! Dahl is now at the BEST age because he runs from house to house and he thinks it is the greatest thing ever. Dahl would run to a house, get his candy, tell the people that there is a DRAGON coming, then he would wait for Ty to catch up. Then he would run to the next house and wait again. It was so cute to watch because Dahl always made sure Ty got his candy. He didn't care if Ty slowed him down. What a nice brother.
Because Dahl was a USC football player he got A LOT of attention. For those of you who don't know, USC is a big deal to a lot of people here. Especially the Alumni. If Aaron ever wears a USC shirt somewhere we always get the head nod, or people saying "FIGHT ON." Dahl rang one door bell and this man answered. He asked Dahl which number 4 player he was, and then went on to list a ton of players that have ever worn the number 4. Dahl just looked at him and said "I'm Dahl." Then the guy says "well Dahl, maybe I will announce your name one day." He is the announcer for the USC Football Team, so that was kind of cool. Then we went to another house that had a USC flag flying and this old lady answered. Dahl told her that he liked her flag. She saw his jersey and said "USC, YAHOO!! You get extra candy." The funny thing was that there were about 5 other kids standing there and she didn't give any of them any extra candy. Also almost everyone who answered the door told Dahl to "FIGHT ON!"
Well the kids had a ton a fun, and we get to do it all over again tomorrow night. Our ward's Trunk-or-Treat is tomorrow, and the best past is IN-N-Out is catering it!!!!!! I will post more pictures tomorrow from that event!
USC Football Player, and a Dragon!!!
Oh and by the way, I made Dahl's football pants. I haven't sewn in many years, so I am quite proud of myself. They turned out perfect. Thanks Aaron for making up a pattern for me.
