On Saturday we went to go do some touristy things in LA. We went to the Grauman Chinese Theater to see all the Stars hand and foot prints. It is pretty dirty and scummy down there. I think going once was all I needed. Then we drove through Beverly Hills, and down Rodeo Dr. We felt so out of place driving our 2004 mini van. We couldn't believe all the extremely nice cars driving around. Bentleys were as common as Honda Accords. It was pretty cool driving around there, it felt just like the movies. Then we went to the Griffith Observatory. It is at the top of the hills, and it has THE BEST view of the city. Then we went to see the LA Temple. The temple is right next to Beverly Hills, and it is in the nicest area. It was so pretty. There were a ton of weddings going on that day.

i love the observatory. the observatory was closed down for renovation and retrofit for i think 5 years. we all went there the day before eli was born and within a few days it was closed.
can't wait to see what they have done to it.
