Last night I was wondering what to make for dinner. So I was looking in the pantry trying to reach something way in the back when I knocked a 14 oz. can of chicken broth of the 4th shelf. Well it wouldn't have been a big deal except Dahl was standing next to me and it landed right on his second toe. OUCH... Dahl started screaming in pain so I picked him up and hugged him (almost in tears for how bad I felt) while Aaron got some ice. I just held him on the couch feeling so bad. After he stopped crying he looked up at me and said "it's OK mom, I forgive you. But it hurts really bad." It was the cutest thing ever. To try and make it up to him I said he can have anything he wanted for dinner. So he had Egos, apple sauce and skittles. We though it might be broken because he couldn't walk at all, it just hurt too much. But today he is walking around, but every once and a while he starts crying again because it hurts. This picture doesn't show all the bruising, it looks worse in real life.

That would hurt so bad! It is amazing that he has the concept of forgiveness at such a young age. I hope you have kissed it better. Grandma Wendy
Cute Dahl! That's so cute of him! Hope his foot is feeling better soon!!!
Even if his toe is broken, they can't really do anything for a broken toe, it just heals on its own. Hopefully it heals fast! That's so cute what he said to you.
