So here is a crazy story for everyone. Last night Aaron and were watching an Extreme Cake Decorating challenge on the Food Network and it was about 9:45pm. All of the sudden it felt like we were both hit in the chest with a weight and our whole house shook. We both jumped off the couch in panic mode, I ran to check the boys and Aaron ran outside expecting to see some drunk guy who just ran into the side of our house. It was so crazy and SOOO strong. The boys were both fast asleep so I went out onto the deck. Aaron was standing out in the middle of the road talking to a bunch of other people all standing out side in our complex from all different buildings. It took us about 1 second to realize that no one in fact ran into the side of our house since there was NO evedence of that. So what on earth happened??? We all came to the conclusion that maybe it was an earthquake.......but then we could see smoke rising in the sky a couple miles away. OK......did somebody just bomb us?? We shortly found out that a plant about 2 miles from us exploded. We couldn't believe that we felt the shock wave that far away. They had to evacuate every one within a 1 mile radius. So luckly we were just far enough away that we didn't have to leave. I guess about 7 peoepl were taken to the hospital. CRAZY!!!
Today was Presidents Day so Aaron didn't have school. Well to be honest he never has school on Mondays, but since it was a holiday we decided to take advantage of it and go the the Hogel Zoo up in Salt Lake. It was the perfect day to go. The weather was awesome. Dahl is at the age now that the Zoo is REALLY COOL to him. He loved it. Here is a picture of his favorite animal there. An Albino Gator.

Crazy that you guys felt that explosion!! Good thing it wasn't a bomb. Can you imagine?! I love the zoo. It looks like you guys had fun. Your pictures are so cute. You are so pretty Stacey!
Oh my gosh! That would have totally freaked me out! I would have totally thought it was a bomb...good thing it wasn't a bomb! The zoo looks so fun - and that albino gator is awesome!
Ok, that is crazy. And scary.
We went to the Calgary zoo a while ago and it was so cool. Mady liked the fish, but the other stuff she didn't really appreciate yet. I bet Dahl LOVED it!
Hogel Zoo! I haven't thought about that place in so long! I remember taking ashley there for her kindergarten field trip - she turned 16 yesterday! Needless to say, it's been a while!
Oh my gosh, I would have freaked out. I am so scared of earthquakes and stuff! Even though it wasn't one, that is still crazy!
