Yearly Event

So every night when it gets dark outside Dahl thinks it is time to go tick-or-treating. So here is my question to every one. How do you explain to a 2 year old that Halloween is a yearly event and not an every day thing??? I have tried to tell him many times but he doesn't believe me, and then he starts to cry because he can't go trick-or-treating. It is so cute, and so sad. He just doesn't get it. Any suggestions would help.

That's so cute! Try telling him that all the house's ran out of candy, don't use anything to do with time, they just don't understand at that age. Trick or treating must have left quite an impression. Cute little guy!

apparently the thought of him not being able to trick or treat makes him cross eyed too! ha ha ha
the picture is great!
why don't you let him trick or treat at doors in your house? you just hand out a piece of fruit or a potato and he won't be so excited about going out...
