SAD NEWS

Ok....so I am going to fill you all in on our past couple of days. On friday a whole bunch of us went out for dinner to celebrate Aaron's birthday. Aaron's aunt and uncle watched Dahl for us. Well, when we went to pick him up they said they took him to the park, but he has been sad for most of the night. The next day (saturday) Dahl wouldn't walk. He would take one step and fall on the floor crying. We had no idea what was wrong with him. He was teething for awhile so we just thought he was in pain from his teeth. Later that day we went over to Aaron's aunt and uncle's house because Aaron was playing basketball with all of his cousins. I was talking to Aaron's aunt about how Dahl wouldn't walk. She mentioned that at the park the night before Aaron's uncle went down the slide with Dahl, and Dahl's foot got caught on the side of the slide and kind of got pulled back. She said he cried for a minute then was fine so they didn't really think anything was wrong. We figured he probable sprained his ankle and that it would get better in a few days. Well it has been 3 days since that happened and he still wont walk, so I took him to the doctor this morning. They took some X-Rays of his leg and it turns out that he may have a hairline fracture on his right leg. We are taking him back to see the Orthopedic Specialist on thursday to double check. So Dahl has a splint on for the next 4 days. I feel so bad because we have been trying to make him walk on a broken leg. Poor little dude. By the way, trying to make a baby with a broken leg lay still on an X-Ray table is near impossible. It took me and another doctor to hold him down. Dahl was freaking out, it was sooooo sad.
