When he finally finished putting his pennies away Dahl and I went to the book store to read some books. After about 25 mintues we left because Dahl wanted to go outside. So we were on our way home so Dahl could go down for his afternoon nap, when the unthinkable happened. I was at a stop light in the turning lane to turn left. When it turned green I went through the intersection only to be hit from the side by an old lady. She too decided to turn coming from the other direction, only she had a red light and decided not to stop. So one good thing was that it was COMPLETELY her fault. The bad thing was that she was the most senile old lady I have ever talked to in my life. She kept trying to tell me, and the police officer, that I hit her when CLEARLY she hit me. Thank goodness the officer was on my side. Before the police showed up she even tried to make me go into the Arby's to get her a water...ummm NO you crazy old lady. First you hit me, then you want me to go get you a water. I don't think so. Anyways our van is fine, but her car looked pretty bad. It took the police amost 1 hour to try to explain to her what happened and how she is at fault. She left still totally confused. I just hope everthing works out because the least amount of time we have to deal with her the better. She eventually went into Arby's to get her water, but she had to come back and ask the officer TWICE where the door to the Arby's was. This lady should not be driving. Oh ya, I also had a big soda in my cup holder and when she it me the whole thing spilt all over my feet and the carpet. ahhhhhhh, I was so annoyed. Well that is the exciting event that happened today, until next time!!!
Adios

OH MY GOSH STACE!! I'm glad you're alright! That's crazy! she needs to be off the road, let me know how that all ends up. I havent had a chance to sit down and really blog yet but i will soon, like hopefully tonight! I love you! Can't wait to see you!
This is why people need to retake the road test after age 65, I don't care if that is age discrimination, its safer for everyone. Good thing you guys are all right.
Ha! I LOVE it! I've ALWAYS said that most people older than 70 shouldn't be driving and this just proves my point! Mom always said that SOMEDAY I'll be 70 and still want to drive, but I'll deal with THAT when I get there. Hope things turn out alright Stace! See you tonight!! "PLAY BALL!" - You comin?
Wow Stace that is so crazy, get that woman off the road! Glad you and Dahl are alright! So cute about him and his pennies, I love it!
Stacey, how scarey! I am so glad you guys are OK!! It is strange how things can change in just a second. I am glad you are alright. Sweet bus. Dahl can have his own preschool right there. He looks even taller then when you guys left. Carter still asks about him. I think he really liked having another little guy around. Hope tomorrow is less eventful! Take care!
Hey Stace, my sister just got hit by a senile old lady, maybe it was the same one because she kept telling the cops it wasn't her fault either and was wondering how her car got there and how the debri was across the road. That just happened like a week ago, coincidence. Hope your vans OK, love the bus.
Hey Stace, I'm glad you two are okay. Sounds like my great grandma. When she was alive she somehow managed to go up the wrong way on an exit ramp on deerfoot, to this day I'm not sure how she managed that one!
That's soo scary! you can be the best driver in the world but there are crazies that ruin it for everyone! When i'm old i'm just going to make Brylie Drive me everywhere. That will be my way of doing my part to make this world a better place to drive... .yyyeah...
hilarious Stac! I think it's hilarious that you were almost more annoyed at your drink spilling all over you! I would be the same way!
I still can't get over that the lady wanted you to get her a water at Arbys....crazy. Haley needs to come play with Dahls new toy...it looks fun!
